Villa Sorano is a beautiful 4-bedroom-Villa, located only about 5 Km distant from Sorano in the south of Tuscany and only about 65 km distant from the sea.

The Villa in detail:
The Villa sits in a dominating position overlooking a picturesque countryside. Over the years the building has fortunately escaped bigger changes and has therefore maintained intact its original architectural plan.

The interiors are characterized by plenty of sunlight. The ground floor living area is composed by a large salon which faces the countryside with four large windows, with a view that goes from South to North. It is decorated in light colors and is provided with all modern comforts: 3D videoprojector, home theater, stereo, DVD console and games.


The living area has a splendid built-in kitchen decorated with majolica tiles hand-made by an artisan in Taormina. The kitchen has top cooking equipment, including a high temperature pizza oven, professional 6-fires cooking range and side-by-side fridge.



The “Ground” room: 
In the East area of the ground floor the “Terra” bedroom is located, with a large entrance hall and a private bathroom in raw travertine stone. This area can be used also as an independent apartment with separate entrance. The dominating color is yellow and the beds are old cast iron.

Original, splendid travertine stairway leads to the first floor, where three large bedrooms with tetto a vista con travi di Castagno e “mezzane” cotto floor tiles are located.



The “Fire” room:
 It has a large, private bathroom in walnut colored travertine stone from nearby Saturnia. The dominating color is wheat yellow and the beds are artisanal cast iron ones.



The “Water” room:
 It is decorated by light blue color and a bathtub in the middle,  the room is a real jewel completed by the nearby little lilac colored bathroom and by a decapè cast iron bed.



The “Air” room:
 With light furnishings and light blue décor, is located in front of the main bathroom, laid in dark walnut Saturnia travertine stone, with a large whirlpool bath.



All doors and windows have been built in solid chestnut wood by a local artisan. The floors on the ground floors are the classic “mezzane” cotto floor tiles, some recovered from the original floors and some hand made by an artisan in the Siena area. Upstairs the floors are in oak wood.

The lightings have been mostly provided by an artisan of the Siena area and are made of ceramic, cast iron and brass.



Finnish Sauna:
 On the first floor there is even a five seats finnish sauna made of northern pine and red alder.



Outside there is a large landscaped garden with 3 acres of sunflowers providing a breathtaking view of the countryside.
Furthermore there is a pergola that creates a living space and comfort for eating or just relaxing in the pool area. There will be a second portable barbecue pergola area installed soon.

The restoration work has been supported by a strong desire to revive and continue local culture and traditions. Old materials have been saved and reused in the project by expert local artisans. The house furnishings are mostly old family pieces, well cared through the years. However, the cozy atmosphere inside the house makes the holiday full of comfort and real pleasure.
